My son was born with a congenital heart defect; he had his first open-heart surgery at 5 days of age. When he was 7 years old, he required a second open heart surgery and a third one at age 13. During the third surgery, the scar tissue from the previous surgeries would not quit bleeding. He required 14 units of blood! We are so grateful for donors! ♥️
