In 2009, Janice was diagnosed with Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura, also known as ITP.
TP is a rare autoimmune disorder that causes a decrease in the number of platelets in the blood, leaving Janice to rely on platelet transfusions to stay alive.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, she has been able to see her son get married and gets to be a part of her grandkids lives.
